The second Chiller Theatre in a month took place in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. It appeared less well attended by dealers and visitors than previous shows in New Jersey, but this was probably because it was the first time it had been held in this part of the country, and I doubt many had unpacked from the last show!
Needless to say, there was still enough to see and buy to make it a very plesant day. There were a good number of celebrity guests doing signings and Q&A sessions - the high points for me were winning first place in the 'altered' category of the model contest with my Jurassic South Park spoof, and meeting Exorcist star Linda Blair & Julie Catlin Brown (Na'Toth from Babylon 5).
Enough talk, on with the pictures...
Jeff's airbrush work is unbelievable! These were a few of the originals he'd brought along, but many others were available as very resonably priced prints. I picked up a cool Godzilla study, and another one of ROTLD 3 Julie (different to the one shown here).
You can see more of Jeff's work at www.pittarelli.com.
This guy redefines the word 'prolific'! Almost every film character imaginable was either on the display on in the photo album on the table...
Once again I made the mistake of not writing down who actually built & painted these fine pieces - if one's yours, or you know whose, please let me know!
Pumpkinhead by Steve Parke - this was my favourite, it looked like it had been carved from an old piece of wood!
